The location in the heart of Tuscany is ideal for day trips to Florence, Siena, Volterra and other art cities. Professional guides and art historians will lead the excursions.

The studios

In our ceramic studios, students will then have the unique opportunity to shape and form the inspirations they have received during the cultural visits.The clay programme accommodates hand building or wheel throwing with spacious and bright working areas; tools, and materials provided. Low temperature, high temperature, raku and wood firing all are possible options.

Logistics

Our programme can accommodate groups of 10 to 14 students accompanied by two professors. Typically, the duration is of two weeks. The university can bring its own professor or choose a qualified teacher from La Meridiana and the number of credits is at the discretion of the visiting university. La Meridiana has a long experience in the organization of study abroad programmes, it will organise and provide accommodation, meals, working facilities and the logistics of the cultural programme.
