39-2022 – Riccardo Gori – Scaling up on the Wheel II
September 20 – 24 2022
Augment the size of your work on the wheel
For intermediate and advanced
In Scaling up II, a series of techniques for throwing large pieces will taught and trained. It is a continuation of Scaling up I, however, the course can also be attended separately.
During the three full working days of Scaling up II, there will be practical demonstrations of different techniques for throwing large and tall pieces. Some of the throwing will occur in separate parts, then to be joined. Each step will be demonstrated in detail and all those factors that contributes to the success analysed thoroughly. The instructors will relate their tips and tricks with generosity. Due to the size of the pieces and the briefness of the course, the work will not be fired. With the focus totally on the making, the apprehensions that may arise about the finished product is avoided.
Exceptional knowledge and passion for the wheel is an outstanding feature of this teacher. Through practical demonstrations and much discussion, he will transmit an exhaustive amount of information. There will be plenty of time for questions and answer.
The course is taught in Italian and English. A delicious lunch will be served every day and acommodation is included in the price. This course is designed for the intermediate and advanced level.
