An intensive session of throwing and exploration of Tuscany.
Throwing. Non beginners
For booking, please contact Ellen Shankin at email@example.com
Since many years, Ellen Shankin leads an immersive pottery experience to Tuscany.
During the 2 weeks there will be 10 days of classes, demos, one on one instruction, discussion, slides and exploration. Each day of class an incredible gourmet Tuscan lunch is served accompanied by plenty of chianti.
A fine balance is reached between focused work, the pleasure of meals, the daily espresso and tea break and ample opportunity to travel around the region, on your own, or with the delightful Tomec as your personal guide. Florence and Siena are a short train ride away.
Included in the experience are small outings to see local potters, the occasional sunset caught in some incredible Hill Town, an afternoon excursion to an ancient Tuscan treasure,a welcome dinner at the local tratoria, noon meals, accommodations with kitchen facilities, all the clay, and workshop costs.
For registration please contact Ellen Shankin directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
Ellen Shankin: Every day I work at the wheel. Over and over again I focus my attention on the unruly clay and bring my mind and body together in an intention to center it and create forms filled with breath and energy. For more than 40 years I have found myself drawn to this effort, trying to make pots that possess strength and clarity. Throughout that time I have been able to wander along a path that regularly courses between inspiration and familiarity, passion and comfort.
