Surface Technqiues. Non beginners
This workshop will focus on methods which everyone can apply easily, and with simple materials. We will explore a variety of printing techniques in a different perspective. When hearing the word of ‘printing’ it is common to think of screen-print or transferring with decals, but it is more than that…
You will get the taste of some photography quality transfers with Laser Printing, for which you can use your own. preferred images. You will also be able to paint or draw with slip on different materials, to get the Monoprint experience in a unique painterly way. Lastly, Lithography (Photocopy) printing will give you the feeling of some artistic touches on your forms. These techniques allow to use transfers in any possible direction, to express yourself with clay, color and images in a unique way.
How to use the techniques
We will not only focus on transfers but will also turn the printed slabs into forms that you have in mind. Printing methods will allow to create complex and compelling surfaces, useful for both, storytelling and decoration.
