Exploration for an Italian Feast

This course will focus on a variety of techniques for throwing then altering forms both directly on the wheel and after. A playful approach to making will be encouraged so that new ideas can be discovered. The goal will be to produce a number of pieces for the Italian Table. A feast will follow the firing where the pieces can be used and appreciated.
A variety of skill levels from basic to advanced are catered for in this course. Sandy takes a supportive coaching approach to student development. Her teaching builds on each student’s individual abilities and mix of skills.

Sandy Lockwood has been making pots and teaching for over 30 years. She received her graduate Diploma of Visual Arts and subsequently the Master of Visual arts from Monash University Victory, Australia. In 1980 she established her Studio in the Southern Highlands. Her work is widely and internationally recognised. Her teaching experience ranges from teaching beginners to teaching postgraduate level, including many areas of ceramics practice. Sandy provides technical instruction, creative encouragement and personal support to develop both work and creative ideas. Students have reported that they enjoy the good humoured and mutually supportive atmosphere in her classes.

The total cost of the course is 2400 euros
Deposit: 700 euros
The workshop fee includes the following
Tuition of 6 – 8 hours per day
Studio open 12 hours per day
All materials and firings
Lodging in double room; single room on request, add 400 euros
Welcome dinner and welcome breakfast, final dinner
A freshly prepared Tuscan Lunch with wine on all working days

Payment - Refund Policy

You may withdraw within 14 days of registration without incurring in any penalties and will the deposit fully refunded. No refund of deposits past 14 days of registration, pursuant to articles 53 and following of the EU consumer protection legislation.
If La Meridiana cannot hold the course due to unforeseen events beyond our control, the deposit will be fully refunded through the same system it was paid. (on-line or with banking wiring.)
La Meridiana reserves the right to offer a different course with similar characteristics and, in case of your acceptance, the deposit will be transferred to the new course.
