DIRECTIONS

Participants in our ceramic courses are asked to arrive between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the start of their course. Please keep to this schedule.

If arriving by car from the A1 Autostrada, exit at Firenze-Impruneta and take the toll-free motorway Firenze-Siena. Exit at Tavarnelle Val di Pesa and follow the signs to Siena. In Tavarnelle ignore the sign to Certaldo and keep going towards Siena. Only after you have passed also the village of Barberino Val d’Elsa, when starting to go downhill, look out for the sign to Certaldo on the right ( road number SP 50) and from now on follow signs for Certaldo, always keeping to the right. (It is important not to take towards Certaldo while still in Tavarnelle) Now it is 8km more to go. Pass through the village of Petrognano. You will pass another group of houses, the hamlet of Bagnano which does not have a signpost and after 2 more km you’ll see the La Meridiana signpost on your right.
If arriving on the toll-free motorway Siena-Firenze exit at Poggibonsi Nord and take for Barberino Val D’Elsa direction Firenze. After 5 km, just before entering Barberino Val d’Elsa look out for the sign to Certaldo on your left (road number SP50) and from now on follow signs for Certaldo,….see above.

If arriving from Certaldo, follow signs to Barberino Val d’Elsa. After 7 km, after passing through a village named Sciano, turn left at the La Meridiana signpost.

If by train, from Florence’s main station, Santa Maria Novella, take a local train to Siena and get off at the Certaldo (about 55 minutes). On the Sunday of your arrival, one of our cars will be waiting for you at 6:00 p.m. at the train station.
