From the Airports to LA MERIDIANA
The closest airports to fly into are Pisa (PSA) and Florence (FLR). From both airports, you may reach Certaldo by train in about two hours. A shuttle from Certaldo train station to La Meridiana is guaranteed at 6 pm on the arrival day. For different arrival times, a shuttle from Certaldo train station may be arranged at a cost of 20 euros.

Pisa airport
If you arrive in Pisa take the PISA MOVER inside the airport. It runs from 6 am to midnight and will take you to Pisa Centrale train station in 5 minutes, at the cost of 1, 20 euros. http://pisa-mover.com/en
From Pisa Centrale take a train towards Florence, and change in Empoli. From Empoli take the train towards Siena and after about 25-30 minutes get down in Certaldo. These trains run approximately once every hour. For information about trains see www.trenitalia.com
Tickets may be bought at the ticket machine or counter.
Don’t book your flight home before 11 am on Saturday end of the course, as you would not arrive in time at the airport, unless you book a transfer at a cost of 120 euros.

Florence airport
The light rail to Florence main station, Santa Maria Novella, leaves right out of the airport with trains running every 5 minutes. They will take you to the city centre in 22 minutes. The ticket may be purchased at the ticket machine at a cost of 5,50 euros. From Florence, take the train towards Siena, get off in Certaldo. It’s a ride of 50 minutes, at a cost of 6 euros.
Don’t book your flight home before 11 am on Saturday end of the course, as you would not arrive in time at the airport, unless you book a transfer at a cost of 110 euros.

Milano airport

Cost of shuttle and train from Milan airport to Certaldo station, close to La Meridiana is about 70 euros one way. Tickets may be bought most conveniently at arrival. It is sometimes necessary to allow one overnight in Milan at departure, as it can be difficult to arrive in time for the outgoing flights to other continents.

Rome airport
Shuttle from Rome airport Fiumicino FCO, then train to Florence Santa Maria Novella , and from there to Certaldo.

Tickets may be bought upon arrival. It is probably necessary to allow one overnight in Rome at departure, as it is difficult to arrive in time for the outgoing flights to tother continent.

From Certaldo
Once in Certaldo a short ride of 15 minutes will take you to La Meridiana. Participants will find a shuttle waiting at Certaldo railways station at 6.00 p.m. of the arrival day.
Shuttles at different times must be prearranged and do have a cost of 20 euros.
Arrival time is on the Sunday of the start of the workshop, between 3 and 7 pm.
There is a lovely cafe in front of the train station; it’s a pleasant spot in case you need to wait for the shuttle.
